Fortes pluies : le trafic perturbé sur l’axe Bembou–Khossanto
Heavy rains that fell during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday disrupted traffic on the Bembou-Khossanto road axis, in the Saraya department.
This morning, at the entrance to Khossanto, many road users remained stranded, forced to wait for the water level to recede before continuing their journey. Torrential rains have submerged certain sections of the road, making it impossible for both light and heavy vehicles to pass.
According to weather forecasts, the situation could become more complicated in the coming hours. The department is on alert, with cumulative rainfall totals expected to exceed 100 mm between August 14 and 16. This heavy rainfall is likely to prolong or worsen traffic disruptions, particularly in areas already weakened by erosion and flooding.
Local authorities are calling on users to exercise caution, postpone unnecessary travel and follow weather reports to avoid any risk associated with heavy rain.

Ou est l’état? Au lieu de jubiler sur le fait de retenir lat diop en prison, de grâce venez en aide aux populations. L’est du Sénégal a trop besoin d’hommes d’état pour gerer ces inondations et le problème du jihadisme. Il ne faut pas que ces populations ou cette zone soit laisser en rade. Il faut beaucoup de considération et nous espérons que le president de la république va y faire un déplacement sur le terrain pas en mode hélicoptère.
