The Kolda Regional Narcotics Brigade carried out a successful operation on September 20, 2025, at around 8:30 p.m., leading to the arrest of two individuals suspected of organizing Indian hemp trafficking in the Afia district.

The operation led to the arrest of two men: B. Ba**, born in 1995 in Kidya, Guinea Conakry. He works as a butcher and lives in the Afia district of Kolda.

ASBaldé born in 1999 in Kolda. He presents himself as a trader and also lives in Afia.

These arrests follow operational intelligence provided by a reliable source, reporting Indian hemp trafficking organized by the two suspects.

Surveillance carried out by law enforcement revealed a "constant ballet" in their home, confirming the investigators' suspicions.

On the very day of the intervention, the source informed that the group had received a significant quantity of Indian hemp, which they had finished packaging into cones and were preparing to sell on the market. Faced with this crucial information, the assault was launched.

Suspects' statements

After being notified of their rights, the two men were questioned about their activities.

B. Ba admitted to owning the scissors, the packaging papers, and the seized money. He admitted that he used this equipment to package the Indian hemp supplied to him by AS Baldé. He also stated that he had sold all of the product before the intervention.

AS Baldé, for his part, categorically denies any connection with trafficking. He simply emphasizes that he is a "simple user," thus attempting to minimize his involvement in the network.
