A tragedy occurred on Saturday night in Ndangane Darou Salam, a neighborhood located in Ndangane, in the commune of Kaolack.
A young man in his twenties was reportedly caught in a compound where he had allegedly broken in with the intention of committing a robbery. Confronted by the occupants of the house and others present, he was allegedly subdued and tied up.
Alerted, firefighters and police officers went to the scene to carry out the usual procedures. The young man unfortunately lost his life in circumstances that remain unclear.
An investigation has been opened by the police to shed full light on this case and establish any possible responsibilities.
