"Je quitte l'équipe", "va te faire...", Vinicius a insulté Xabi Alonso à sa sortie lors du Clasico Real-Barça, selon la presse espagnole
Furious after being substituted in the 71st minute of the Clasico between Real Madrid and Barça this Sunday (2-1), Vinicius went straight back to the locker room and had some very harsh words for his coach Xabi Alonso.
A proper meltdown. As Real Madrid dominated their rivals Barcelona and headed for their first victory after four defeats in the Clasicos this Sunday (2-1), Vinicius Junior vented his frustration as he made way for Rodrygo with just under 20 minutes left in the Liga clash.
The sequence lasted for several seconds, and Vinicius went straight back to the locker room, very upset by Xabi Alonso's choice. While the incident quickly got people talking, broadcaster DAZN Spain dropped a real bombshell later that evening by subtitling all of the Brazilian's reactions using a single camera.
When he realized he had to leave, "Vini" initially seemed very surprised: "Me? Me? Sir, sir!" he exclaimed, arms wide open. Then the situation escalated. "I'm leaving the team, I'm leaving, I'd rather leave," he said furiously, heading straight to the locker room.
Before directly attacking his Spanish coach: "Fuck you," he shouted several times, first in Portuguese and then in Spanish. To which Xabi Alonso replied: "Come on, Vini, damn it!"
Xabi Alonso calms the spirits
The Brazilian winger then returned to the dressing room before returning to the bench. According to Marca, it was Real Madrid goalkeeping coach Luis Llopis who convinced him to calm down and come and support his teammates during a heated end to the match.
In a press conference, Xabi Alonso defused the initial controversy, stating that the incident would be resolved internally. "Regarding what happened with Vinicius, we will discuss it privately," he simply commented. For his part, the Madrid striker appeared reassured on his Instagram account, rejoicing in a "good Sunday at home," before chanting: "Go Real Madrid!"
But this wasn't the only altercation Vinicius was involved in this Sunday. Upon his return to the bench, the player once again made a name for himself by attacking Lamine Yamal. The Barça star had stirred up trouble by accusing Real Madrid of "stealing." Then, like Dani Carvajal, the Brazilian urged him to talk less, before asking him to meet outside to explain himself.
