Manchester City's all-time leading scorer and former Barcelona player, Sergio Agüero, has named the Blaugrana player he believes the Skyblues would be wise to sign.

The Argentine striker, who won five Premier League titles during a decade at the Etihad Stadium, was asked by the media outlet Trivela to name a Brazilian player who would fit in with Pep Guardiola's team. "I really like Raphinha. He's a player who would fit perfectly into City's style of play," Agüero said.

The FC Barcelona winger, who previously played in the Premier League with Leeds United between 2020 and 2022, has scored 13 goals and provided five assists in 24 appearances for the Catalan club this season. While he is obviously more affordable than Lamine Yamal, for whom Barça previously rejected a €250 million offer from PSG, Raphinha nevertheless extended his contract in Catalonia until June 2028 last year. The Brazilian is valued at €80 million by the specialist website Transfermarkt. Agüero doesn't want to hear about the Guardiola debate
