The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), through its Secretary General Abdoulaye Sow, has stated its readiness to respond to any potential complaint from Morocco. This declaration was made Monday evening at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD), during the triumphant welcome of the African champions by the highest state authorities.
“We are ready to respond to any potential complaint from Morocco,” he told APS. This reaction follows the announcement by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) that it is considering appealing to CAF and FIFA to rule on the temporary withdrawal of the Senegalese national team from the field, which occurred after a penalty was awarded by the Congolese referee.
The Moroccan governing body believes that this action had "a significant impact on the normal course of the match and on the players' performance." It suggests, in particular, that this interruption of play influenced striker Brahim Diaz's missed opportunity in his one-on-one with the Senegalese goalkeeper.
Despite this threat of legal action, the fervor remains undiminished in Senegal, where the Lions were welcomed by the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, and the entire political class. The standoff between the two giants of African football now appears to be shifting from the pitch to the international disciplinary bodies.

Il est rappelé qu’après une phase de tension, l’équipe concernée est revenue sur le terrain, a repris le jeu et a permis l’achèvement normal de la rencontre. Les faits établissent donc clairement qu’il n’y a eu ni abandon, ni refus définitif de jouer.
La promotion du fair-play constitue un principe fondamental des compétitions de la CAF. Celui-ci s’inscrit toutefois dans un cadre plus large reposant sur le respect des règles, l’autorité arbitrale et l’impartialité des décisions.
