AFAPDP : Le président de la CDP, Ousmane Thiongane, élu vice-président du bureau
The Senegalese Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CDP) has once again distinguished itself on the international stage. Its president, Ousmane Thiongane, was elected vice-president of the board of the Francophone Association of Personal Data Protection Authorities (AFAPDP). This election took place during the 27th General Assembly of the AFAPDP, held on November 25, 2025, in Mauritius.
Mr. Thiongane's election is a major recognition of his unwavering commitment, leadership, and work with the CDP to promote responsible governance of personal data. This appointment also strengthens Senegal's position within international bodies dedicated to data protection and the defense of digital rights.
On the sidelines of the General Assembly, AFAPDP held the 25th Francophone Conference on Personal Data Protection on November 24, 2025. This annual, international meeting brought together experts, regulators, and Francophone personal data protection authorities.
Participants discussed current and future issues as well as the challenges related to the protection of personal data in a constantly evolving digital context.
