Aware of these challenges, Yango Ride, a technology platform belonging to the global Yango Group, is rolling out a new feature designed to enhance ride reliability: a system of matching PIN codes between passengers and partner drivers. In a city where pickup points can sometimes be busy or crowded, this direct confirmation eliminates any confusion and allows passengers to begin their journey with complete confidence.
Now, before departure, a unique four-digit code is automatically generated. This code appears in both the passenger's and the partner driver's apps. To start the ride, the passenger provides this code to the driver, who then validates it in their app. Within seconds, everyone has confirmation that it's the correct ride, the correct vehicle, and the correct passenger.
Quick and intuitive, this step integrates seamlessly into the usual process without adding complexity to the user experience, while also providing an enhanced level of security. For partner drivers, the "pickup code" option can be activated in just a few clicks from the Yango Pro app's security center. Once activated, it is automatically applied to subsequent rides, ensuring continuous and systematic verification before each departure.
This innovation is part of a broader effort to continuously improve security standards on the platform. Yango already offers several dedicated security tools, such as real-time ride sharing with a loved one, quick access to emergency numbers, and ride tracking during the trip. With the introduction of PIN codes, the platform adds an extra layer of protection while maintaining a smooth and modern user experience.
