South African Airways resumed its normal flight schedule to the United States from Johannesburg via Dakar, Senegal, spokesperson Jacqui O'Sullivan said on Friday.
SAA had to divert its flights to Washington and New York via Sal Island in the Cape Verde for a few days due to a strike by truck drivers in the West African country, Senegal.
The strike by drivers responsible for moving fuel to the airport in Dakar had caused fuel shortages.
"We are pleased that this situation was resolved speedily and that our customers need not be inconvenienced any longer, a spokesperson for SAA's passenger services, Ian van Rooyen said. - Sapa
