Ministère de l’Industrie et du Commerce : Le budget 2026 adopté
Members of Parliament adopted the 2026 budget for the Ministry of Industry and Trade on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Of the 165 registered members of parliament, 135 participated in the vote: 128 voted in favor, 7 abstained, and none voted against.
Returning to the budget, it amounts to 355.93 billion CFA francs in commitment authorizations (CA) and 150.13 billion CFA francs in payment appropriations (PA), distributed across five main programs. These are: accessibility of products and services, combating the high cost of living and modernizing trade: 33.49 billion CFA francs (CA); support and financing for SMEs: 3.29 billion CFA francs (CA); trade expenditure and strengthening Senegal's positioning in foreign markets: 2.29 billion CFA francs (CA); development of competitive industrial clusters and sectors: 314.42 billion CFA francs (CA); and management, coordination and administration: 2.45 billion CFA francs (CA).
The budget emphasizes modernizing trade, combating the high cost of living, supporting SMEs, and strengthening competitive industrial sectors. It also includes investments to improve Senegal's positioning in foreign markets and strengthen the ministry's administrative management.
The Minister of Industry and Trade welcomed the adoption of this budget, which he described as ambitious and realistic, highlighting its role in supporting economic growth and business competitiveness.
"This budget will allow us to consolidate our reforms, support businesses and invest in the industrialization of the country," he said.
