THIÈS : Un moniteur de sport arrêté avec 25 sachets de chanvre indien
Mr. Ndiaye, an instructor in a gym located in the Parcelles Assainies district of Thiès, is being prosecuted for offering or transferring Indian hemp.
He was arrested while in possession of 25 bags of Indian hemp.
In court, the defendant admitted to the facts, while maintaining that the drugs were for his personal use. He stated that he was not a drug dealer, explaining that he had packaged the cannabis in bags for storage, as he was about to travel to Sokone for 45 days.
Mr. Ndiaye also claimed he was not a drug dealer, stating that he had bought the drugs in Mbour and had been using cannabis for six months. He acknowledged that this was the second time he had been arrested for similar offenses.
The Public Prosecutor, considering the facts to be consistent, requested the application of the law against the defendant.
The verdict is expected soon.
