Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko is expected at the National Assembly on February 24. He and members of his government will address the deputies during the session dedicated to current affairs questions. This information was officially confirmed on Friday by the Prime Minister's office.
The issue of student grants and the tension in universities, following the death of student Abdoulaye Bâ, will certainly be central to the debates. The problem of criminalizing homosexuality could also be raised by members of parliament, at a time when court cases are currently dominated by the arrest of suspected homosexuals.
